Pleasing Plaids

I love how the plaid pops against the white walls of this bedroom designed by Badgley Mishka: http://www.elledecor.com/

This rustic bedroom, designed by Kathleen H. Rivers, was featured in Southern Accents. I adore the Cowtan & Tout plaid :http://www.southernaccents.com/

I found this chair, upholstered in plaid wool, for $20 at an antique store. The needlepoint pillow pays homage to my beloved poodle, Pippin, who passed last year; she was a big fan of this chair.

This room looks very family friendly and cozy.

Plaid has enduring appeal that can be integrated into nearly any decor. It's simply timeless. How do you feel about plaid? Do you find it dowdy or delectable?

I'm sorry to hear about Pippin. We lost our black Lab and our Maltese within a year of one another. They were very special members of our family, as I'm sure Pippin was for you.

I love plaid and I especially love it mixed with florals and stripes. I think it's that mix of masculine and feminine. You got a good deal on that chair...good for you!
